What is Egg Heist in Aniimo?

Egg Heist, officially known as Operation: Egg Heist, is an extraction mode in Aniimo where you team up with up to two other players and explore the Lost Isles. Your goal is to search for valuable loot, fight enemies, dig rare eggs from nests inside the Lost Sanctum, and safely return them to the Egg Boat before the timer runs out.

What is Egg Heist in Aniimo

There are two main ways to enjoy this mode:

  • Team Mode (PvE): This is the classic cooperative mode, where you work with your teammates to explore, collect eggs, and safely extract while fighting AI enemies. It's a great choice for beginners and players who want to farm resources.

  • PvP Mode: Added in the late October update, this competitive mode pits three squads against each other in a fight over a special Legendary Giga-Egg . The team holding the egg when the match ends wins special rewards. Character stats are balanced, and outside gear is not allowed.

So, let's explore how each mode works and learn some useful gameplay tips in this guide.

Classic Cooperative Egg Heist Team Mode (PvE Egg Heist Mode)

Here’s how the Egg Heist Team Mode works in Aniimo:

How to Prepare for Your First Egg Heist

You don't need an expensive or perfectly optimized loadout and top tier Aniimos to get started with Egg Heist. A basic setup is enough to help you enter your first runs, collect loot, and learn how the mode works. As you progress, you can gradually upgrade your equipment and expand your options.

How to Prepare for Your First Egg Heist

What Should You Equip?

Before entering an Egg Heist, make sure you have the essential equipment for carrying loot and surviving encounters:

Equipment

What It Does

Backpack

Lets you carry loot during the run. A backpack is essential because the items you collect need to be carried back with you.

Attack Amplifier

Increases your damage against Beginner targets.

Protective Unit

Reduces the damage you take from Beginner targets.

Key

Can be brought into the run to access certain locked areas and rewards.

For your first runs, the basic equipment you receive is enough to get started. You don't need to invest heavily in upgrades while you're still learning the mode.

Keep an Eye on Equipment Durability

Your equipment doesn't last forever. Protective Units and Attack Amplifiers have durability, so you'll need to keep an eye on their condition as you continue playing. They can be repaired for money, while better-grade equipment can become available as you progress.

You can also purchase larger backpacks later, giving you more carrying capacity for future runs.

Keep an Eye on Equipment Durability

What Aniimo Should You Bring to Egg Heist?

Egg Heist doesn't work like a normal four-Aniimo battle. Instead, you choose one main Aniimo to handle combat and bring three support Aniimo that provide abilities during the run.

Your Main Aniimo

Your main Aniimo is the only one that directly fights enemies during the Egg Heist. Choose an Aniimo that you're comfortable using in combat and that can reliably handle the enemies you'll encounter.

You don't need to build a complicated team of four combat Aniimo. The other three slots are used for support.

Your Main Aniimo

Choose Three Support Aniimo

Your remaining three Aniimo provide support abilities instead of fighting directly. Their abilities can include things such as healing or damage boosts, depending on the Aniimo and its role.

You can also use multiple support Aniimo with the same type of utility. For example, the transcript demonstrates that multiple healers can be used together, allowing their support abilities to complement each other.

Choose Three Support Aniimo

Make Sure Your Support Aniimo Has an Ability

Not every support Aniimo will provide an ability immediately. Its evolution or stage matters, and a lower-stage Aniimo may not have an available ability yet. Make sure the support Aniimo you're bringing has the ability you expect to use before starting the run.

For your first Egg Heists, focus on having a reliable main Aniimo and useful support abilities rather than trying to create a conventional four-Aniimo combat team.

How Does an Egg Heist Run Work?

An Egg Heist run follows a simple objective: enter the Lost Isles, complete your Escape Conditions, find an egg, and make it out safely. You have a limited amount of time to complete the operation, so knowing the basic flow before you enter makes your first runs much easier.

How Does an Egg Heist Run Work

The Basic Egg Heist Flow

A typical run follows this general sequence:

Enter the Operation → Check Escape Conditions → Explore & Loot → Find the Lost Sanctum → Find an Egg → Escape With the Egg → Deliver the Egg → Extract

You don't necessarily have to follow this path in a perfectly straight line. You can explore and collect loot along the way, but your main objective is to meet the requirements shown under Escape Conditions before leaving.

The Basic Egg Heist Flow

Check Your Escape Conditions

When you enter an Egg Heist, check the Escape Conditions displayed on the screen. These conditions tell you what needs to be completed for your team to successfully evacuate.

Check Your Escape Conditions

For example, a run may require your team to:

  • Submit at least one egg

  • Earn a minimum amount of Eggshell Coins

The exact requirements can vary, so always check them at the beginning of the run rather than assuming that simply finding an egg is enough.

Watch the 20-Minute Timer

An Egg Heist run has a 20-minute time limit. This gives you a limited window to explore, collect loot, find an egg, complete your Escape Conditions, and get out.

Because of the time limit, don't spend the entire run searching for extra loot if you've already completed your main objectives. The longer you stay, the more opportunities you have to collect additional rewards, but the longer you stay, the greater the risk becomes.

Watch the 20-Minute Timer

What Happens During the Run?

After checking your Escape Conditions, you can explore the Lost Isles and collect loot while working toward your objectives. Eventually, you'll want to locate the Lost Sanctum, where you can search for an egg.

What Happens During the Run

Once you obtain an egg, your priorities change from exploration to getting it out safely. You'll need to escape the Sanctum, return to the island, and deliver the egg before deciding whether to leave or continue searching for more rewards.

The detailed mechanics of managing your loot, surviving the Sanctum, obtaining an egg, transporting it, and extracting are covered in the sections that follow.

Manage Your Loot and Weight

Your backpack has limited space, so you can't take everything you find during an Egg Heist. Managing your inventory properly is important because carrying too much loot can eventually prevent you from doing anything.

Your Backpack Has Limited Space

The backpack gives you space to carry loot and other items you collect during the run. As you progress, you can unlock larger backpacks, giving you more room to carry items.

Your Backpack Has Limited Space

Because your space is limited, don't automatically pick up everything you see. Pay attention to the value and usefulness of the items you're carrying.

Swap Items When Your Backpack Is Full

If you find something you want but don't have enough room, you can replace an item already in your backpack.

Swap Items When Your Backpack Is Full

The game allows you to drag an item over another item you don't want, effectively swapping what you're carrying. You can also move items out of the backpack to make room for something else.

This means a full backpack doesn't necessarily mean you have to stop looting. Check what you're already carrying and decide whether the new item is worth taking instead.

Pay Attention to Your Weight

Your inventory also has a weight limit. As you collect more loot, your load can move through different weight states.

Pay Attention to Your Weight

You'll first see Light Load, followed by Heavy Load as your weight increases. If you go beyond the allowed limit, you become Overloaded.

Avoid Becoming Overloaded

Overloaded is more than a warning—you reach a point where you cannot do anything until you reduce your load.

Avoid Becoming Overloaded

If you're approaching your limit, stop and review your inventory instead of continuing to collect everything. Drop or replace less useful items so you can keep moving and continue the run.

What Should You Keep?

When space or weight becomes a problem, compare the items you're carrying rather than keeping everything.

What Should You Keep

As a simple rule:

  • Keep higher-value loot when you have to choose.

  • Keep important items needed for your current objectives.

  • Replace low-value items when you find something more valuable.

  • Don't let your inventory become overloaded just because you want to carry a little more.

Good inventory management lets you spend more of your run exploring and completing objectives instead of getting stuck because you're carrying too much.

How to Survive the Lost Sanctum

The Lost Sanctum is where you'll search for eggs, but it's also one of the more dangerous areas of an Egg Heist. Enemies are aggressive, so entering without a plan can quickly turn a successful run into a loss.

Choose Your Entrance

The Lost Sanctum has two entrances: a side entrance and a main entrance. Both can be used to enter and leave the Sanctum, but the side entrance can offer better opportunities at greater risk.

Once inside, the Sanctum has its own map that fills in as you explore.

Choose Your Entrance

Clear Enemies Before Looting

Enemies around the Sanctum can attack while you're trying to explore or collect loot. If you have enough time, clearing enemies from an area before looting makes the area safer to move through.

Don't stay in one position during fights. Keep moving and use your support abilities when necessary.

Clear Enemies Before Looting

Keep an Eye Out for the Mysterious Vendor

A Mysterious Vendor can appear inside the Sanctum. The vendor allows you to trade or purchase items, which can be useful if you're missing something during your run.

Keep an Eye Out for the Mysterious Vendor

Keys Can Open Sanctum Areas

Keys are useful for accessing locked Sanctum doors and can lead to additional loot and rewards. If you have a suitable key, keep it available when exploring the Sanctum.

The specific key types and how they work are covered separately in the Keys section.

Keys Can Open Sanctum Areas

The Main Rule

Don't rush blindly into the Sanctum. Explore carefully, clear dangerous areas when practical, and keep an escape route in mind. Your goal isn't just to find valuable loot—it's to make it back out with it.

How to Find and Claim Eggs

Once you're inside the Lost Sanctum, look for an Egg Nest. The nest may be surrounded by enemies, so check the area before attempting to claim the egg.

Dig for the Egg

After dealing with the enemies around the nest, interact with it to dig for the egg. An egg will appear after the interaction, although the specific type of egg you receive can vary.

Dig for the Egg

Use Twine to Carry the Egg

Once the egg appears, use Twine to transform into the egg and start carrying it.

Use Twine to Carry the Egg

While you're Twined with the egg:

  • You cannot attack.

  • You can roll to move.

  • You can use your movement to make your way toward the exit.

  • If you need to fight, you can Untwine with C and return to your normal form. The egg remains in place when you untwine.

Once you've claimed the egg, your next priority is getting it safely out of the Sanctum.

How to Get the Egg Out of the Sanctum

Once you've claimed an egg, you need to get it back through the Lost Sanctum and return to the island.

While you're carrying the egg, your movement is limited to rolling, so choose your route carefully and avoid unnecessary fights.

How to Get the Egg Out of the Sanctum

Watch for Enemies

Enemies can attack the egg while you're transporting it. If you're playing with teammates, they can protect the player carrying the egg and deal with enemies along the route.

If you need to fight something yourself, Untwine to leave egg form, deal with the threat, and then continue carrying the egg.

Watch for Enemies

Reach the Exit

Make your way back to one of the Sanctum exits. Once you reach the exit, you can return to the island and continue toward the Egg Boat.

The important part is simple: getting the egg is only half the job—you still need to get it out safely.

Reach the Exit

How to Extract Your Egg

After bringing the egg back from the Lost Sanctum, take it to the Egg Boat to secure it.

How to Extract Your Egg

Once the egg has been delivered, you have a choice:

  • Safe Evacuate — leave the run with your rewards secured.

  • Continue Exploring — stay longer to look for more eggs and loot.

Continuing can give you more rewards, but it also means taking on more risk. If you've already achieved your main objectives, leaving safely can protect what you've earned.

For your first few runs, focus on securing your egg before chasing additional rewards.

How to Claim Your Egg Heist Eggs

After successfully completing an Egg Heist, your extracted egg will appear in your Mail.

How to Claim Your Egg Heist Eggs

Open the Mail section and claim the egg. Once claimed, you can hatch it to receive the corresponding Aniimo and other rewards associated with that egg.

Some eggs can also provide additional currencies or materials when hatched, so make sure to claim your rewards after a successful run.

Egg Heist → Extract Egg → Mail → Claim → Hatch

Egg Heist Rewards & Progression

Successful Egg Heists give you more than just an egg. Your extracted loot and currencies can be used to improve your future runs and progress through the Egg Heist system.

Egg Heist Rewards & Progression

What Can You Earn?

Your rewards can include:

  • Loot — items collected during the run that can be sold for Eggshell Coins.

  • Eggshell Coins — used in the shop for useful items and equipment.

  • Essence — Blue, Purple, and Gold Essence used for Talent progression.

  • Egg Heist Rank Rewards — successful runs contribute to your progression through the Egg Heist ranks.

  • Talents and Upgrades — progression systems that can improve areas such as survival, damage, and carrying capacity. Egg Boat upgrades and Personal Growth also provide additional progression.

Don't Sell Everything

After a successful run, you can sell unwanted loot for Eggshell Coins, but keep useful equipment and Essence for future progression. Equipment can be especially important if you die and lose your carried gear.

Don't Sell Everything

The basic progression loop is:

Complete Runs → Earn Rewards → Upgrade Your Character → Take on More Runs

What Are Keys Used For?

Keys are useful for opening locked areas inside the Lost Sanctum, giving you access to additional loot and rewards.

If you have a key available, it can be worth bringing one into an Egg Heist when you plan to explore the Sanctum thoroughly.

Keep in mind that keys take up inventory space, so consider your available carrying capacity before bringing extra ones.

Best Tips for Aniimo Egg Heist

Keep these simple habits in mind as you start running Egg Heists:

Best Tips for Aniimo Egg Heist

  • Check the Escape Conditions first. Know exactly what your team needs before spending time exploring.
  • Watch the timer. You only have 20 minutes, so don't let extra exploration leave you without enough time to extract.

  • Don't loot everything. When your backpack gets crowded, replace lower-value items instead of carrying unnecessary weight.

  • Keep your equipment repaired. Your robots and amplifiers have durability and can be repaired with money.

  • Use your support abilities. Healing and other support abilities can make difficult encounters much easier.

  • Know when to leave. Once your egg is secured and your objectives are complete, continuing for extra loot is a risk-versus-reward decision.

  • Save your Essence. Blue, Purple, and Gold Essence are used for Talents, so don't sell them for quick currency.

Competitive PvP Giga-Egg Mode (PvP Egg Heist Mode)

Aniimo has introduced a brand-new competitive PvP experience called Operation: Egg Heist as part of the Season 1: Departure with the Wind Part 2 update. Unlike the regular Egg Heist Team Mode, where you explore the Lost Sanctum, fight enemies, and collect eggs, this new mode puts you against other Pathfinders in a battle for one Legendary Giga-Egg. You'll need to work with your teammates, defeat rival players, and maintain control of the egg to secure victory.

How the PvP Giga-Egg Mode Works

Before jumping into PvP Giga-Egg  Mode, make sure you meet the entry requirements and understand how each match works. Here are the important details to know before starting your first run.

How the PvP Giga-Egg Mode Works

  • Availability: PvP Giga-Egg Mode is available daily from approximately 18:00 to 24:00 server time.

  • Entry Requirements: To participate, your character must reach Level 50 and obtain the required Egg Heist rank, Rising Egg Scout.

  • Match Duration: Every match lasts 15 minutes, so time management is important.

  • Match Format: Each match features three competing squads: Cyan, Yellow, and Pink. All three teams enter the same island and compete to find and secure one special Legendary Giga-Egg.

The PvP Giga-Egg mode features three competing teams (Cyan, Yellow, Pink) fighting on a mysterious island. Each team starts at a different landing location, and everyone must compete for control of the same Legendary Giga-Egg. Unlike normal Egg Heist runs, you don't need to search through the Lost Sanctum or complete Escape Conditions. Instead, your main objective is to Twine with the Giga-Egg and increase its activation progress while preventing other teams from taking it away.

Important Note: You cannot bring outside equipment or items. All Aniimo stats are balanced by the game, so success depends more on team composition, coordination, and map awareness than on expensive gear.

How to Play the PvP Giga-Egg Mode

Follow these steps to understand the basic flow of a PvP match:

How the PvP Giga-Egg Mode Works

Enter the Island

  • Join the match with your team (four Aniimo teams) and prepare to compete against two other teams. Each team starts on a different landing point on the map.

Collect Temporary Equipment

  • Explore nearby areas, defeat wild Aniimo, and open treasure chests to obtain useful equipment such as BINI Units, Energy Amplifiers, and Chips.

Find the Legendary Giga-Egg

  • This is your main early objective. You need to find the only Giga-Egg on the island and prepare to fight other teams for control.

Use Twine to Claim the Egg

  • Get close to the Giga-Egg and interact with it when the interaction prompt appears. After interacting with the Giga-Egg, your character will transform into the egg, allowing your team to start building activation progress.

Build activation progress

  • While your team is Twined with the Giga-Egg, its activation bar slowly fills. The longer your team holds the Giga-Egg, the more activation progress you accumulate, until the bar reaches 100%. While you are holding, other teams will constantly try to attack the carrier and steal the egg. Your teammates must protect you from incoming attacks and prevent enemies from taking control.

Protect the Egg Carrier

  • If your team has the egg,  stay close to the carrier, clear enemies, use heals, cleanses, and crowd control, and create a safe path.

  • If another team has the egg, focus on the carrier. Use stuns, pulls, knockdowns, or high burst damage to force them to Untwine or lose control of the egg, then immediately Twine it yourselves.

Communicate with Your Squad

  • Share the egg's location when you find it first, warn your teammates about incoming enemies, and ask for help when needed. Decide who will carry, protect, and fight for the egg. This team work will help you win much easier.

Remember that the Giga-Egg can change hands several times during a match. Don't focus only on attacking other players; protecting the teammate carrying the egg is equally important.

What Are the Winning Conditions?

The main objective is to keep your team connected to the Giga-Egg until its activation reaches 100% or the match timer runs out. However, there are a few different ways your team can secure victory:

What Are the Winning Conditions

  • Reach 100% Activation: If your team is Twined with the Giga-Egg when its activation reaches 100%, you win immediately.

  • Hold the Egg Until Time Runs Out: If the 15-minute timer ends before activation reaches 100%, the team currently Twined with the egg wins.

  • Win Through Activation Contribution: While your team is twined, every 10% of progress awards one gold chest (equivalent to a Prismatic Gold Treasure Chest from Chaos Egg Heist). You can earn up to five of these. Aiming for at least 50% progress means you leave with the full set of five chests even if the enemy eventually takes the final capture.

What Rewards Can You Earn?

Winning the PvP Giga-Egg mode gives you valuable rewards, but you don't necessarily need to win every match to earn something.

What Rewards Can You Earn

Here are the main rewards you can obtain:

  • Giga-Egg: Every member of the winning team receives one Giga-Egg. It guarantees an Umbral Egg and has a small chance of producing a Prismana Egg.

  • Treasured Chests: Every team can earn Treasured Chests by contributing a certain amount of Giga-Egg activation progress. These chests can contain useful rewards and seasonal Collectibles.

Best Aniimo Teams for PvP Giga-Egg Mode

Choosing the right Aniimo is important if you want to survive encounters against rival teams and maintain control of the Giga-Egg. Since this mode focuses on competitive battles, you should consider Aniimo that offer strong damage, healing, Break potential, and useful support abilities.
